LG Begins Rollout Of New G Pad Series Tablets In Europe

LG has announced today that it will be rolling out three new G Pad tablets, which were unveiled in May. These three tablets are -G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10. First of all, LG will roll-out the G Pad 7.0 in Europe this week, followed by the G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 over the next several weeks. These tablets will be available in Black, White, Red, Luminous Orange and Luminous Blue colors. LG has not disclosed the prices of these tablets and will be revealed close on the heels of its availability in respective markets.

lg_g_pad_7_8_10_1_multiple_colours As their name suggests, these tablets will have 7 inches, 8 inches and 10.1 inches IPS HD (1280 x 800 pixels) Display, and are powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor alongwith 1GB RAM. The other hardware details varies in the each tablet and are mentioned in details at the bottom.

According to LG, the latest G Pad tablets will include LG’s proprietary UX features such as QPair 2.0 and Knock Code. With an updated version of QPair, which was first introduced on G Pad 8.3, users can effortlessly connect to their Android-powered smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages and now be able to respond directly from the G Pad. The Knock Code feature enables users to power on and unlock their LG smartphones in one easy step by entering a personalized “knock” pattern on the smartphone’s display. Knock Code offers convenience and greater security as the knock pattern can be entered anywhere on the screen in any size with the display on or off using a personalized sequence of two to eight taps for more than 80,000 possible combinations.

Besides above, LG has also employed Smart Keyboard and Dual Window features on these three tablets. Smart Keyboard is based on predictive typing technology, which is also used on the LG’S latest flagship G3 smartphone, and which is claimed to reduces input errors by up to 75 percent by tracking and analyzing typing habits and intuitively “knowing” what word the user intended to type. With Dual Window feature, the users can split the screen and run two applications at the same time, which makes multitasking quite easier.
