Nokia has rolled out a new software update, platform 1.4, for its Asha touchscreen phones. This update is available for Asha 230, Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503. This update brings new functionality and improvements in Asha range of devices.
The Asha update now incorporates many useful features. It brings Nokia’s MixRadio, the free and personalized music streaming service to Asha phones. This is very useful for those who are without access to data connection on the move because its allows users to listen to music of Nokia MixRadio in offline mode. Nokia MixRadio is available on Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503 devices.Nokia is also offering 7GB of free storage on Microsoft’s OneDrive, and with this offering, it is possible now to automatically or manually transfer digital content to the cloud directly from the phone.
The Asha Update also include innovative additions to the camera app, with a voice-guided selfie feature and panorama mode; a power save mode for battery durability; performance improvements; improved video stabilization and parental control for the browser and Nokia Store access.
Nokia has advised that the users can check for software upgradation by visiting ‘Phone Update’ in the Settings menu to check if it is available for their phone as yet or not.
