Chinese handsets maker OPPO has launched its budget smartphone OPPO Neo 7 in the Indian market at Rs. 9,990. OPPO Neo 7 is a successor to their popular mirror-backed Neo 5. This phone also has shining mirror surface and streamlined arc design.This handset will be available in two color variants – white and black.
According to OPPO, the industry’s leading optical coating technology and fiber glass materials has been used on OPPO Neo 7. The back of the handset has 13 layers of coating refined through a series of 40 processes to increase strength. ”Special laminating process make Neo 7 look smooth and clear and the handset reflects light like a mirror”.
From the hardware perspective, the OPPO Neo 7 features a 5 nch qHD (540×960 pixels, and 220 PPI) TFT display. It is packed with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306. It comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage extendable to 128GB with microSD card support. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with OPPO’s customised ColorOS 2.1 on top.
On the optics front, this phone has been fitted with an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and f/2.0 aperture. It also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera comes with a light-sensitive sensor that can adjust the screen brightness acording to available light for clicking bright selfies even in low light. The camera has 11 filters and 3 beautify modes. The Neo 7 can easily edit images without downloading additional apps. Special function like Double Exposure allows users to take two separate photos and overlap them to create a single image.
This phone suppors Indian 4G LTE bands and dual-SIM. It also provide standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 etc.
The OPPO Neo 7 is powered by a 2420mAh non-removable Li-polymer battery. It has dimensions of 142.7×71.7×7.55mm and its weight is mere 141 grams.
