Saavn, the Indian music streaming service, today announced a partnership with Indian handsets maker LAVA International. As per this arrangement, the Saavn music app, which provides listeners a fast, affordable music experience on the go, will be pre-loaded on LAVA’s newest feature phone the LAVA D-136A.
Speaking about the partnership, Kartikeya Shukla, Head of Global Business Development for Saavn, said, “We are excited to launch this offering with LAVA on their latest Discover Series handset. Saavn’s mission is making music accessible to everyone. Since feature phones play a dominant role in India, especially in the non-metros, this new association bolsters Saavn’s commitment to providing a seamless listening experience in Tier 2 and 3 cities.”
Saavn and LAVA will work together on various co-marketing efforts to spread awareness about the combination of their music streaming service and handset, respectively. Saavn has previously rolled out successful OEM partnerships with brands like Micromax, Karbonn, Samsung, and HTC.
