To promote its upcoming Galaxy S5, which will be launched worldwide on 11th April, Samsung has tied-up with with 16 of the world’s leading mobile content and service providers to offer Galaxy S5 users more than $600 worth of exclusive, pre-paid and discounted subscriptions. These susbscriptions cater mainly to fitness, news and other productivity apps, to make Galaxy S5 experience more rewarding.
The Galaxy S5 Comes with dedicated fitness tools and Samsung is pushing it as health-focussed smartphone, to take advantage of health-consciouness especially of younger generation, who are becoming fitness freaks. To cater to lifestyles of consumers, the Galaxy S5 comes with the enhanced S Health 3.0 application. As per Samsung, this app offers more tools to help people stay fit and well. It provides a comprehensive personal fitness tracker to help users monitor and manage their behavior, along with additional tools including a pedometer, diet and exercise records, and a new, built-in heart rate monitor. Galaxy S5 users can further customize their experience with an enriched third party app ecosystem and the ability to pair with next generation Gear products for real-time fitness coaching.

The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch FHD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) display, and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM plus 16GB/ 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded upto 64GB via microSD card. It runs on latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and is fuelled by a 2800mAh battery, which according to the company, will have standby time of 390 hrs and talk time of 21 hrs. This smartphone comes with the Ultra Power Saving Mode feature, which turns the display to black and white, and shuts down all unnecessary features to minimize the battery consumption.
The Galaxy S5 is equipped with a 16 megapixel rear camera, which is claimed to have the world’s fastest autofocus speed up to 0.3 seconds and the advanced High Dynamic Range (HDR), reproduce natural light and color with striking intensity. It also has Selective Focus feature, which allows users to focus on a specific area of an object while simultaneously blurring out the background.
The Galaxy S5 is dust and water proof device. It also offers a Finger Scanner, providing a secure, biometric screen locking feature and a seamless and safe mobile payment experience to consumers.
