Close on the heels of launch of Honor 8 Pro in India, Huawei has announced that they have partnered with Jaunt Inc, the leader in cinematic virtual reality experiences, to provide high-quality VR content on its upcoming Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India.
As per Huawei, Honor 8 Pro will come with a cardboard viewer and the pre-installed Jaunt VR app containing video content that makes virtual reality accessible anytime. It will enhances the VR experience by harnessing the powerful computing capability of the Kirin 960 chipset and the high precision sensor allowing for more accurate head-tracking.
The Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7 inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels resolution and 515 ppi pixel density. It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor combined with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. It runs on EMUI 5.1 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
It is mounted with Dual 12 MP primary cameras which has f/2.2 aperture, phase detection and laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. It also houses an 8 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capability. This phone is packed with a 4000mAh non removable battery. This phone has fingerprint sensor on the front and supports connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0, Type-C. It incorporates Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. This phone supports Hybrid Dual Sims.
