Honor 8 Pro which is set to be launched shortly in India, will come pre-installed with GoPro’s Quik mobile video editing app as announced by Honor, Huawei’s e-brand. One of the major USP of Honor 8 Pro is its dual primary cameras and this added feature will further enhance imaging quotient of this smartphone.
GoPro camera enables the capture of unique and hands-free capture of images which otherwise are difficult to get with a smartphone. Users can easily transfer photos and videos from the GoPro camera to the Honor device’s photo gallery for inclusion in video edits made with the Quik app.
The Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7 inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels resolution and 515 ppi pixel density. It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor combined with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. It runs on EMUI 5.1 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
It is mounted with Dual 12 MP primary cameras which has f/2.2 aperture, phase detection and laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. It also houses an 8 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capability. This phone is packed with a 4000mAh non removable battery. This phone has fingerprint sensor on the front and supports connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0, Type-C. It incorporates Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. This phone supports Hybrid Dual Sims.
