The most popular messaging app, WhatsApp will be now available on smartwatches with official Whatsapp Wear OS. Rolling out from today, Wear OS will let you communicate using texts and audio from your wrist while on the go.
Available on watches that run Wear OS 3, users will no longer need their phone with them to stay connected, and can respond to friends and family using their voice, emojis, quick replies or text. Wear OS is Google’s smartwatch software that is available on smartwatches of various brands. Currently, the WhatsApp app will be available on Wear OS3 smartwatches which include the Samsung Galaxy 5, the Google Pixel Watch and the Fossil Gen 6, among others.
WhatsApp will be available on more devices in the future as informed by the brand in its press release.
