To woo its customers, Snapdeal has announced today instant refund on returned goods. Snapdeal has launched today its instant refund mechanism facility whereby it promise to refund within 1 hour of receiving the returned products to its customers. Snapdeal is the first to introduce an automated, API-based, real-time highly reliable, secure instant refund transfer system based on IMPS technology with one of largest private banks of India, as stated by the company.
Last month, Flipkart had also announced refunds Within 24 Hours Of Cash On Delivery Returns.
According to Snapdeal, the instant refund will be completed using Immediate Payments System (IMPS) transfers, a facility provided by banks across the country. The high capacity IMPS real time integration allows customers to receive their refund within 1 hour of the product being returned. 100% of customers using the Cash On Delivery facility will have access to IMPS 24/7 while bank holidays will have no impact on this service either.
Transactions on IMPS can be accessed and initiated across different channels like mobile phones and PCs.
Commenting on the new development, Anand Chandrasekaran, Chief Product Officer at Snapdeal said, “We hope that customers never want a refund, but we respect that it is a crucial part of the customer return experience. Having said that, we are extremely proud to introduce the country’s fastest instant refund facility assuring our customers the most seamless refund experience. We have already noticed that close to 100 % refunds take place within an hour and 85% within 30 minutes, making this a highly reliable refund service for our customers’.
