Before letting you know the trick to use kaspersky Antivirus for free after expiry of trial peroid, i want to let you know that this method is NOT RECOMMENDED and is ILLEGAL. I am sharing this because it is more of a flaw in Kaspersky program and less of a hack. There is NO 3rd party program involved in it. It basically involves changes in registry. So, BE CAREFUL while implementing this.
Moving further, Kaspersky is one of the top security software providing best protection to your data from latest Viruses, worms, phishing attacks, malware, etc. In order to use Kaspersky Antivirus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 after end of its 30 days trail for Free, follow the steps given below very carefully :
- Before doing anything delete any trial keys (if any), as they wont work.
- Open Kaspersky settings.
- Click on Options and uncheck Enable Self-Defense.
- Click Ok.
- Exit Kaspersky.
- Go to Start, open Run, then type regedit and press enter.
- Under Registry Editor, open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SOFTWARE >> Kaspersky Lab >> protected >> AVP9 >> environment.
- Find the entry ProductStatus and change Release to Beta.
- Press OK then open Kaspersky.
- Under License, Activate beta license then press Next and Finish.
- Re-enable Self-Defense from Kaspersky options.
Thats It ! Kaspersky will now show the program version as Beta Version even though it is your final version only.
So, You now have 30 days of beta license activated. After every 30 days, simply click Activate Beta and enjoy another 30 days for Free !
NOTE : This trick has been tested on a XP machine. It may or may not work on other operating systems viz. windows vista, windows 7, etc. If you somehow manage to make it work on these OS too, let us know.
