Design
Carrying a mammoth 5″ inch screen, Optimus Vu has a bar factor which essentially requires you to use both your hands to operate the device. This might be uncomfortable for some but then again ‘uncomfortable’ dimensions of 139.6 X 90.4 X 8.5 mm deviate from single handed operation.
In terms of design, Optimus Vu comes with a chrome finish on its boundaries with textured rear panel. On sidelines, LG has neatly placed buttons with volume buttons on right of the handset and power, USB, Quicknote, 3.5mm jack sitting on top. Another thing to be noted is since the back panel is non-removable (and so is battery), the sim card (accepts micro Sim) slot is placed on sidelines, just above chrome finish. Not the best place for sim card.
Coming from Galaxy S II with comparatively smaller screen size, it was stray awkward for me to use Optimus Vu. However you do get accustomed to it after using it for a day or two. So yes you might find the dimensions of phone awkward initially but all works out once you use it for a while.
